Writer’s Block and ways to tackle it

Here I am, staring into this endless abyss
Music in my ears, and caffeine in my bloodstream.
Yet again, the land of my thoughts is barren.
My mind, which is usually a patron of succulent imagination, now boils with rage at this creativity shutdown.

This situation is experienced by every writer once in their lives and is lucidly given the name of Writer’s Block. Though common and transient, it can be harsh for writers if not tackled properly. So, I’ll share what works for me best !

According to me, your biggest power is observation. Relax, meditate, shut down your thinking cycle for a while. My own experience is that the more you brainstorm for something creative during a block, the more you beat yourself up on it. Its better to change your focus, indulge in some other hobbies. These hobbies can be anything that helps you distract. The more you observe in detail , the easy your imagination will flow to you. Also, reading other writers in this time will help you appreciate literary works and maybe derive a new understanding as to how you have to pursue writing.

Share to save writers !

Hope this was helpful. Do let me know in the comments section how you guys deal with writer’s block.

  1. Writer’s block is the worst for writers. I think I get it every time before starting a new thing.
Your idea of observing during these bouts is a good idea. Maybe giving your mind a break takes away the pressure to write. Ahhhhhh, writing is so hard to do but so good when it flows. Wishing you happy writing.
Thanks for the follow, and I’m following you back. Looking forward to reading more of your posts. πŸ™‚

    Yeah, that’s true…

When I’m out of my ideas, I just indulged myself in some other work and read out the others blog and inspired myself to write.
Basically, I write poems only…and discovered to improve my rhyming style and enhancing the word power.

Thanks a lot for following me, all your stuffs are really good.

Have a great day ahead !πŸ™ƒ
