Not so Digital…

If there is anything I wanted, at three in the morning.
Apart from moist eyes and a numb mind,
was to transport back in time.
When love was simple.
The love with elusive dimensions and perhaps, less validation.
When the night was ecstatic to meet its moon, and patience was its energy.
Love which was a subtle mellow.
Love which was found in the scent of paper, and behind the receiver of timed calls.
Love which could be found years after, in a rusty wooden box tucked beneath the bed.
Love which was a hustle to protect secrets and fight against norms.
Love which you could hold close like a Horcrux, which held your innate desires, and a touch of their soul.
Love which was free of insecurities, lucid and real.
Which was not a prisoner of screenshots, or a slave of screens.
Love which didn’t make you question your faith, by seen texts or obligations.
Old fashioned yet charismatic.
Love which made you sleep with the memories of their eyes
and not
Stalking, at three in the night.
